The idea that each person keeps a personal favourites list as a wiki pages is a nice idea - a good expansion on Richard's idea. That also makes "suggestions" work after a fashion - you "suggest" a pub by putting it on your list.
I think the way time is worked out needs elaboration - as unless done very carefully pubs that only one person likes are pretty well guaranteed never to be chosen. If we all have half a dozen pubs in common on our favourites list (which is pretty likely) then - say - the Greatfield - will never come up as there will always be a pub more people like that hasn't been chosen for ages.
Similarly we want a way that means that - say - the Bath Tavern is picked from time to time, but not as often as the Kemble.
