Original Plough, Chelmsford

Great place for a quick beer after getting off the train. This lively trown-centre freehouse was adorned with masses of pump clips. In terms of the beers they were selling I only had time to sample a couple, both of which were very good and keenly priced. Everards Pitch Black was a new one on me and looked and tasted very much as you might thing from the name!

I imagine this pub gets very busy later in the evening, but it was a goodun anyway
