A traditional premium bitter with malt notes from Maris Otter, Crystal and Chocolate Malt and lightly hopped with good old fashioned Fuggles and Goldings.

Captain Ann was the leader of the Maldon Grain Riots in 1629. . She is reported to have cried out during the riot "Come on my brave lads of Maldon, I will be your leader for we will not starve" She got herself hung at Chelmsford Gaol after being found guilty of sedition - but really for calling herself "Captain Ann" and leading men against the authorities
