Not a pub that Pub Night have frequented much at all.. there are various reasons for this.

The Wheatsheaf has a function area called "The Venue" where in 1958 "Club 66" opened. Cheltenham-born Rolling Stone, then known as Lewis Brian Jones, signed the membership cards. Bucktown Seven with Mac White (Clarinet) along with the Alistair Trio, The Temperance Seven, The Ramrods and many other swing, jive and rock & roll bands played at The Venue before it closed in the early 60's.

The Wheatsheaf has recently been re-opened as a music venue where live bands regularly play. Since 2005 Decameron (who under the name "The Bashill Rollers" recorded Save the Bayshill in the early 1980s when there were serious threats to demolish The Bayshill Inn) with Johnny Coppin - The Ramrods (yes, they're still going) - Over the Hill - Ego Ronnie's Good Pub Band - Payne & Picket - Indigo Mojo - The Toxic Twins - New Cotton Covers - The Proggs - and loads of others have played there

The pub claims to serve various real ales from around the country.. It might be worth Pub Night investigating some day
